fox rambles about the sinsmas episode
(helluva boss s2e12 spoilers)
okayy so even though i hate how they had octavia sound nothing like herself in this new song unfortunately it rock and is visually amazing. and i also relate to it deeply from my own daddy issues so it’s possible that that’s the only reason it’s in my high praises
i also don’t really like how so ON THE NOSE about stolas’ adjustments to being poor now. it’s so constantly verbally Spelt Out For You that they don’t leave any room for the fun part of analysis: going “ohhh that’s why he did that…”
I REALLY APPRECIATE THEM HAVING STOLAS JUST BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF ANDREALPHUS, THOUGH. LIKE FUCKING FINALLY. the bit with him and stella laughing was annoying in a way that wasn’t even funny. it’s also good to see stolas ACTUALLY REALIZE FOR ONCE that his choices are fucking stupid. stolas is becoming conscious and aware, thank god. i love him but at the same time he also just sucks the other half of the time which i can very easily admit.
i also do actually like how octavia saves her father from death but chooses to stay with her main abusers (in terms of how the writers want you to view the characters) and sacrifice possibly a better life with her dad because she doesn’t want to be lied to again. it’s complicated! good!!
loona suddenly being able to just turn into a wolf is cool as hell lore for the hellhound species as a whole and it just ALMOST makes me forgive them for most definitely adding it halfway through the story. i really hope they use it again and not just throw it away for a fight scene :( (but these are poor hopes)
i’m sad we don’t get to see millie’s phone call with her sister. the way the scene cuts off to loona with her newfound friends (that also weren’t previously established until now but it’s nice to see her develop) and immediately has millie coming back in made me confused for a second. it’s very obviously rushed and it sucks cause that could’ve really been a good characterizing moment for millie!! but of course we can’t have that cause millie isn’t traumatized enough to be expanded upon.
the sinsmas concept is actually a fun concept, and watching moxxie and millie play fight was actually really cute and expands more of their relationship. also seeing moxxie actually fight for once was GREAT cause they never let this poor “haha small theatre twink gets pegged isn’t it funny how not masculine he is” imp get to do ANYTHING cool most of the time.
it was also nice to hear loona call blitzo dad, but i do wish there was more a build up to it. the stolas and blitzo dance scene was actually super duper cute. i don’t think these two deserve to be a proper couple (they have so many fucking issues) but the scene was adorable.
overall this episode definitely had its average count of fuck ups but overall it was interesting! i’d watch it a second time. 6.5/10

When you create characters, how do you usually go about it? I can understand the first few phases, such as mapping them out, but I would like to know more about some artist processes and you seemed like the best place to start.
By the way, have I told you you look absolutely ✨stunning✨ this fine time of day/night?
when it comes to making characters, most of the time the visual idea is already in my mind as is the character's personality,,, often times i get inspiration from the songs i listen to so the 'personality' so to speak of the song might reflect in that character! (for example, octavia's current design was heavily inspired by '100%' by angelspit, so she kind of has a personality that would reflect the singer if that makes sense?) when it comes to the design itself, i like to chose 1-2 themes or motifs that i think relate well to the character (such as needles and pins with their cobweb motifs, or velvet's 'double x' motif) and a color pallete that will give the 'vibe' i want for them! (such as royal blue for regal characters - for me it's pretty standard color language stuffs) i like to include symbolism relating to the character/anything that could foreshadow their furure role in the story as well >:] shape language is one of the most important parts of visual design for me as well - i choose one shape, occasionally two, that i think will relate to the character best! i also have to make sure the way the shape is applied doesn't contradict with the character's personality (such as why would a smart, prim and proper character have messy spiky hair or poking out bits in their silhouette?) then i apply that shape everywhere i can!
for personality and character itself, i think of three things -
1. the character's role and presence in the story - will they be a major character, or just show up once or twice? are they an ally or an enemy to the protagonist? does that change? the way the character will/can develop should be explored if they're a major character. if your character dies as well, it's good to establish who they were as much as is needed before that happens (say, a dead mom can be portrayed as caring for the short time she's alive) - but it's interesting to leave them vague and mysterious, so you can really go either way!
2. the character's goals - what do they want? are they loyal to one person or a lone wolf? what will they do to get what they want? this can help to explore the character's morals and see if they'll change as the story continues!
3. secret third option - who is the character? do they have any strong likes or dislikes, hobbies, or anything that could 'contradict' with their visual design or outward personality? (such as octavia's love for creepy-cute mascots juxtaposing her violent profession and brutal personality!) technically this could be called humanisation but secret third option is funnier. it helps to explore what the character may not be comfortable with or vice versa because it can help to express the character to the audience without doing too much work.
thats basically it! sorry if this didn't make much sense or was too long ,,, this is just the way i personally go about characters so id recommend coming to others for advice! thank you!! :D

So I finished Helluva Boss today. I like to make notes when I consume a piece of media. I never said those notes were peak maturity. Far from.
Enter.
Two seconds in: holy shit is that MORDERCAI?? 😰😰😰😰 no wayyyyyyyy.
And that kids, is how you traumatise a class of kids. I mean, I know I’m meant to feel bad for… whatever her name is, but those poor children 😭
HELP I LAUGHED LIKE AN IDIOT WHEN SHE THAT KID GOT CHOKEHELD IM A MONSTER OMG. IM SORRY 😭 it was just so funny 2 me I’m so so sorry.
She’s kinda hot tho when she’s a demon. Ngl.
I need the furry wolf’s number. IMMEDIATELY. I am DOWN BAD.
Is that fucking… stock horror music? HAHAHA- no no I’m imagining it, but imagine if it was.
HES BRITISH. THE BATHTUB GUY IS BRITISH. [ :) ]
BRUH. HES DOWN BAD, EVEN AFTER THE SHIT HES STILL RAMBLING ON?? HIRE A HOOKER!! GOD ITS ALWAYS… [ :) ]
HAHAHA. L. L MOXIE L. The family just died anyway that’s a fucking LlLlLlLlLlL.
Closing thoughts: give me the satanic wolfs number immediately. I am down bad rn.
Rating: 3/5.
It kept me entertained, and hooked.
Episode 2:
This song reminds me of a particular band, I just don’t know what. There’s a certain “style” that’s familiar to it. I don’t know what.
Yeah I just. I saw that exact thing coming. Something going wrong, and something going wrong fast.
Octavia is just like me except my dad hates me and is just as unstable as my mom.
Okay so here’s my question: his eyes. Uhhh, the British bathtub guy. I forgot. It’s full red, is that his iris? How huge is his range of vision? Because MINE? Hun-knee, I have visual snow syndrome and shit eyesight, I’m nearsighted, this [ :) ] fucker see I’m Irish so this is a personal attack on me.
If you become a demon when you die, are their kids biological or did they die too?… dark thought.
Is there another… character that isn’t Moxie? Because I don’t care to remember his name tbh. So I’ll call him ‘Not Moxie’.
Blitzo, Stolas, I get it mixed up. And I can’t tell who Moxie is and who… the other one is. Moxie has a high voice, right??? I don’t know. I’ll learn it eventually.
Imagine your dad loving you. Couldn’t be me. Ever. Now I’m shedding. Skin or tears? You decide. (I shed my skin when emotional, like a snake. HISSSS)
Thoughts: Poor Via.
Ranking: 3/5. I liked it, I guess.
Episode 3:
God damn it why are all the female demons so hot. Damn you episode. I mean, *ahem* hello senora. ;)
I think my favourite characters so far are uh… what’s her name? Something -ica, and uh…….. the asshole. What was his name? Is he Stolas or Blitzo? I keep forgetting. 😭
Can I call her Titanic? No reason. She just looks like a… Titanic. Surely there are kids called that. (Rereading this I had a reason for this but I don’t fucking remember what the fuck?)
Blitzo. Gotta remember that. Blitzo. Ok. I’ve got it.
…UH OH. IVE BEEN CAUGHT. HELP THAT FOURTH WALL BREAK CREEPED ME OUT OK IM SORRY FOR BEING A SIMP IM SORRY.
Overall thoughts: None.
Ranking: 5/5. It was my favourite episode so far.
Episode 4
Uh… I liked how the piano switched places just to fall on his head? Yeah this episode kinda was meh.
2/5.
Episode 5:
Yeah I didn’t care much for this either.
2/5. Maybe I’m not paying attention enough.
Episode 6:
Okay so Red girl (what I’ve been calling in my head) is called Millie.
“Ee-dough” it’s pronounced Eh-doe period. In Japanese, ‘e’ means the ‘eh’ sound.
Is that. I was right, that’s just House Of Leaves or whatever?? It’s not bad to use horror stock music just funny.
Ohhh, Stolas is the bathtub guy. I think I’m developing a sexual attraction to him. Not as much as I was down bad for Loona. And the other one. Ika. I’m calling her Ika. Wait, Verosika?
Episode 7:
Okay… I am now realising that Moxie and Millie are married. I’m kinda dumb.
Season 2:
Lmao M&M.
HELP STOP GASLIGHTING MOXXIE INTO THINKING HES FAT EVERYONE IS SO MEAN TO HIM SHHSHSHS
Ah yes, the angel dust treatment. “Harder.”
Bro the pain of someone typing and then not responding.
Ok… why is season one episode 8 only out now? Huh? I don’t understand… (I checked the desc, nvm my words)
The mean girls reference XD.
I’ve heard of holding your breath, but not under honey?
The more I hear Kesha-
You: Her name is Beelzebub
Me: Anyway Kesha
The more I hear her, the more I might develop a Keshaccent. She’s cool but she seems like the kind of girl who would’ve bullied me for being autistic in high school.
So this takes place after uh… what happened again? I forgot. The night at the… lust club? Yeah whatever I forgot. Obvious from the start, just forget what exactly happened… anyway, how the fuck can Blitzo DIE ALONE?! HES IN HELL! You need a cold shower man…
Overall thoughts: I liked it. I’d give it a 7/10. I thought I wouldn’t like it, but I also thought that about XRA… I liked some characters, and even the ones that are like- beyond horrible people (like stella) I found entertaining to watch at the very least.
Pro’s:
- I liked the characters relationships with each other in various episodes. It made for comedic, or sometimes sad situations.
- I rarely found myself bored.
- It was pretty okay.
Cons:
- Some of the humour bordered on whiplash. Going from an emotional scene to comedic can be… really distracting. It wasn’t too much of an issue. I guess it’s intended as comic relief. Some of the humour was also immature which can throw some people off but I didn’t mind, I like vulgarity.
- Honestly, I can’t think of much else to critique. It was pretty good. It just didn’t impress me, or wow me, or make me feel much other than ‘oh, that’s sad’ or ‘oh, that’s funny’. But that’s okay.
Edit: I forgot to watch the pilot episode… and a new episode dropped today. So yeah, did that, been there. It’s been there did that, not… did that been- ugh why do I care about the semantics of this?
Edit: This post was a year and a half ago how was I this cringe? Never mind, I have some theories on why. You can really tell I wasn’t paying attention huh. I like how I refer to Stolas as ‘British Bathtub guy.’ It’s not inaccurate. It’s weird cuz I feel so neutral about Stolas now. Like they could never make me form an opinion on you. <3 Also I apologise for the British jokes. All comments have been replaced by a :) emote.

You're All I Have - Eligius IV!Levitt on Bardo! (Rated T) [Levitt & OC] by @thedefinitionofendgame
Summary: "It was nights when the sky was dark and the moon shone full that Levitt liked the best. He, Jerom and Lupe would climb up to the roof of Jerom’s apartment building and howl at the moon like wolves. Fitting, as both Lupe and Levitt’s name meant wolf. With their matching dark brown hair and eyes, it was like they were perfect grey wolves in the night. Jerom’s blond hair and blue eyes didn’t really fit with the wolf vibe, but he was an honorary member. They made their own pack and Levitt wouldn’t change it for the world.

Hypable’s review suggests Orlando may be more than meets the eye b/c of Hercules/golden apples: “If this is a case of the wolf in sheep’s clothing, or a Hercules infiltrating the garden to steal the golden apple of knowledge and start the Trojan war, ‘Orlando’ would have sent himself to them under the guise of being a tool they could use so that he could get close to them — visualized by that inexplicable chess setup in the woods, where we deliberately see Orlando outwit his invisible opponent.”
I mean. Ok. But he was on sky ring before echo, hope and gabriel went there.
I don’t think these people have mind reading or future telling capabilities. I don’t think they can go BACK in time, although maybe they can, we haven’t seen it yet.
The review would just be speculation or interpretation, right? They haven’t seen past what we’ve seen.
Hmm. I’m not sure that parallel is going to go that way. Octavia has already been called Prometheus, and Hercules freed Prometheus.
I think Hercules might be Clarke. Or Bellamy.

hey y’all. i’m trying to make a return to this blog and i’d love to get some threads going. i’m about to look through the tags and try to reply to some opens, but i thought i’d throw some ideas/ships/plots out there to see if i get any biters.
this is my open starters tag but particular ones i’d love replies to are: (x), (x) & (x)
this is my wanted tag. and these are some verses i’d either love ships set in, faces from, or canon ships from them i’ll list the ships i’d like and would want to write canonically.
glee: quinntana, brittana & bike (with an alternate face for santana or no visuals)
gossip girl reboot: mostly i’d love to write against any of the faces from here (and will probably add some of them to my roster)
legacies: posie & hosie
pretty little liars: emison & spemily
riverdale: cheronica, cheryl x josie, chery x josie x veronica
teen wolf: scallison & scira
the 100: clexa & princess mechanic (clarke x raven), warrior princess (octavia x raven)
tvd: stelena, stebekah & steroline
i’d also be cool with writing ships based off of those dynamics/plots rather than writing them canonically. feel free to like this post and i’ll come to you, or you can shoot me an im !!

Creative Audio Research 5, Music Dump
Create Audio “Research?” Not sure if I’m meant to document anymore, though I feel it is effecting what I’m creating.
A huge list of music that I have been listening to recently, everything from my boyfriend’s pretty cool music taste, to recommended things on YouTube as I’ve been just passing by, or autoplay, to some of my older music I haven’t touched in years. It’ll mostly be in order of first listened to, then most recently listened to. A little bit sectioned as to who’s music or what I was thinking about the music.
Undertale Full OST Xenoblade Chronicles OST DeoxysPrime • I Made A Song Using Only Deltarune Sounds
A taste of the Boyfriend’s music taste:
Little Dragon - Wanderer Shiki(TMNS) - Senpai [MajorLeagueWobs Remix] SIAMÉS "Mr. FEAR" [Official Animated Music Video] Ark Patrol – Curious (ft. Victoria Zaro) (Lyrics) [CC] K.Flay - Giver Feint - Vagrant (ft. Veela)
Music from my childhood, Dad would listen to them often:
Madness - Baggy Trousers (Official Video) GBH No Survivors Greg Kihn Band - Jeopardy (extended version) Generation X - King Rocker NEW MODEL ARMY - 51St State - 1986
NEFFEX - Backstage🤘💋 [Copyright Free] [Underverse Remix] SharaX - Vive La Verse
Fascinating science, not exactly a song:
How I broke a wine glass with my voice (using science!)
Discrepancies - Not Alone (Official Video)
A little of my old stuff, more soon:
Daleri - Electro Wobble [Tasty Release] Define Light & Miles Dominic - Elsewhere [Tasty Release]
Marshmello follows a very strong narrative storyline both with it’s audio and visuals:
Marshmello - Alone [Monstercat Official Music Video] Marshmello - Together (Official Music Video) Marshmello - Blocks (Official Music Video) Marshmello - Take It Back (Official Music Video) Marshmello - Tell Me (Official Music Video) Marshmello - Power (Official Music Video) Marshmello - Paralyzed (Official Music Video) Marshmello - Rooftops (Official Music Video) Marshmello - Flashbacks (Official Music Video)

Gosh people can chomp their way though music. I didn’t realise how much I had consumed since I last tried document to taking a deeper look at what I was listening too.
I think that I’ve traversed quite a few music genres and lots of different styles. I personally have a very open music taste and have enjoyed listening to almost every piece. This list will be very helpful for me in future wanting to look back on what I’ve listened to, and what I will like then. I feel there is a strange mixed influence over the audio I am trying to create. I don’t have a lot of knowledge and skill in the craft, but feel minor undertones form the music that I’ve been opening myself to. I still don’t particularly lean to music with or without lyrics. There are songs that fit lyrics just fine, and there are others that are just wonderful without them. I like it when the audio has a balance and doesn’t need the lyrics to convey the whole message; blending the instruments and effects of choice with the lyrics themselves.
